Project Manager
RVM is seeking a candidate for the position of Project Manager. The role of the Project Manager at RVM is to be the key contact to our clients on all electronic discovery projects, while also being the liaison between our clients, sales personnel and production staff. The PM is responsible for ensuring that instructions from the client and/or sales personnel are accurately interpreted and transitioned to the production teams. The PM is also responsible to properly assess the goals of the client and be able to spot potential problems in the proposed workflow before introducing the project into our production environment, while being able to offer creative solutions to those problems to gain better efficiencies for both our clients and our business.
The PM is responsible for setting project priorities and ensuring projects adhere to the agreed upon schedule while effectively communicating project updates and status reports to the client in both oral and written form.
Once projects have been completed by production, the PM is responsible for a final Quality Control step ensuring the deliverables conform to the project instructions and meet client expectations.
The PM will also assist sales personnel on conference calls, face to face meetings, drafting proposals and writing Statements of Work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively apply project management lifecycle for electronic discovery projects to ensure work is done to client satisfaction and company standards
- Continuously monitor and manage multiple e-discovery projects to ensure deadlines are met
- Communicates frequently with client to resolve issues and provide status updates according to the client’s needs
- Works closely with production to ensure proper allocation of resources based on deadlines and priorities
- Manages client expectations throughout the life of a project
- Responsible for gathering project requirements and ensuring requirements are properly documented
- Ensure that other PMs are up to date with enough information so that proper handoffs can occur when unavailable
- Maintain accurate and current records of all aspects of a project relating to job tracking, specifications and chain of custody related documents
- Interact with clients to develop strong client relations and demonstrating a high level of commitment to client success
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or paralegal studies (paralegal certificate acceptable)
- JD candidates a plus
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a project manager
- Project management experience at an electronic discovery provider is a plus
- Knowledge of litigation support applications including: Concordance, Summation, etc.
- Experience with Relativity is helpful
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor
- Strong technical understanding and/or experience with e-discovery process, lifecycle and technical issues a must
- Strong organizational and project management skills, the ability to effectively juggle competing demands, prioritize appropriately, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences of varying degrees of expertise
- High degree of confidence and energy level coupled with leadership initiative
- Available to work overtime, including evenings and weekends
- Available by phone or email when out of the office
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
